April Fools (كذبة إبريل) is a dynamic art show presented by the talented Zahrah AlMatrook which will be going on until the 7th of May at Desert Designs.

She explained to us that her idea behind the gallery was that at different lightings the paintings would show in a certain way. When in the dark, the paintings would be seen completely different compared to how it was shown in the light. Her main reason behind this was to emphasize how most of us are all living a lie and not everything we see is a hundred percent true. Thus, in the dark, the underlying paint appears with a different concept. Also, she would only keep the paintings in the dark for a short while, and the goal of that is to explain how not everyone sees the truth only the people that lived through that certain experience can truly understand what’s going on.

Plus, the gallery has birds and nests, the birds represent us, the humans. Since she sees that birds and people are quite similar and that all these borders and checkpoints are what changed us from the nature of birds. Lastly, every painting is describing a different story and the names of all these paintings are the keys of the topics she was talking about in each piece.

Make sure to check it out before it's over!
